Mark Beaumont is a record-breaking long-distance British cyclist, adventurer, broadcaster, documentary maker, author and business ambassador.

Mark started on the bike with the World and the Americas, then into the oceans in the Arctic and the Atlantic, before presenting for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and recently back on the bike with Africa Solo. Mark completed the journey in just 41 days, 10 hours and 22 minutes, after cycling 6,762 miles, spending 439 hours in the saddle (sometimes up to 16 hours a day) and climbing 190,355 feet through 8 countries. He broke the world record by more than 17 days!

As well as sport and broadcasting, Mark is active in education as the Rector of the University of Dundee, Patron for the Saltire Foundation, Ambassador for the Winning Scotland Foundation and Honorary President of Scottish Student Sport.

His charitable and philanthropic activities include being a Patron for Orkidstudio and for the ARCHIE Foundation as well as filming a number of challenges for charity.
