Disrupting the way we help the developing world
A message from James Turing, Founder and Director of the Turing Trust
“Over the last 7 years I’ve seen hundreds of dedicated people doing what they can to support African communities to participate in this digital age. Getting technology into African classrooms is no small challenge, but there are also many opportunities.
Turing Talks is a way for us to bring together a wide range of amazing people to create a global village where all benefit from innovative technology.”
Turing Talks will:
- challenge the way you think about development
- inspire you with new ways of solving problems
- demonstrate how much can be achieved
- connect you with like-minded people who are making things happen
Net proceeds from the conference will go to support the work of the Turing Trust, bringing computers and digital educational resources to rural schools in Africa.

The Turing Trust was inspired by the work of Alan Turing. The difference he made in WW2 and technological innovation still influences our lives today. His achievements in the field of computing continue to influence our lives – but we need to ensure that none are left behind.
